Bill Joy on Sun’s Community Source License

There's a remarkable exchange of email over at UpsideToday. Richard L. Brandt received a letter from Bill Joy putting forward his thoughts on Sun's Community Source License in response to an earlier article. While I agree with some of his comments "i did the now-considered-open-source berkeley licensing with the view that source code was the results of your research and should be published, as all research is", much of makes me very suspicious. While the source is definately open, it is certainly not free. Thanks Wes for the pointer.
