Chris Goad and I with the help of the other members of the placetime mailing list have put together the first geographic point URI space for PlaceTime.com. The URIs look like this: http://placetime.com/geopoint/wgs84/X-0.803000Y52.422400 which represents the point at latitude 52.4224 and longitude -0.803 in the WGS 84 datum (my house). The RDF representation (http://placetime.com/geopoint/wgs84/X-0.803000Y52.422400.rdf) includes a human-readable description plus the latitude and longitude using the geo namespace.
