The next version of Back Orifice is due to be released tomorrrow by the Cult of the Dead Cow. Russ Cooper has written an article explaining why this version of Back Orifice is causing real concern among security experts. The two main reasons are that it now runs on NT and that it's open source which means that infinite variations are possible making it impossible to detect through standard virus signature techniques.
