RAX

On Monday NASA handed over control of their Deep Space 1 probe to some experimental artificial intelligence software called RAX. RAX consists of a multi agent system, responsible for guiding the spacecraft. One agent system determines plans of action, a second carries them out and the third monitors the craft and attempts to correct any errors. The latest news is that the agent system did fairly well, achieving 70% of it's goals but has had to be shut down while anomalies are investigated.
