BizTalk

BizTalk is Microsoft's foray into the world of XML based EDI. They've published a preliminary spec (in a nice space-embedded url), with an interesting line in random case XML tags and attributes. Note the section just before Appendix A that says that to use the framework you must have your schema approved and published on the BizTalk website. And I wonder what these companies have to do with this: Siebel Systems, Goldmine Software, Pivotal Software,Moss Micro. Clue: they all seem to be very concerned with customer relationship marketing - in other words, web based consumer profiling. Letting Computers Speak the Language of Business runs the title of this site, now where's that Wankometer...
