I hadn’t come across XBRL until very recently while looking into alternatives to receiving financial returns in a proprietary format (… guess the brand). When I looked into it a little more I was impressed at how far it has gone with companies house now publishing taxonomies … which means that my users will soon have to jump that way.I hope the fact that I’m now actively pushing this newer approach doesn’t mean that I’m the person with bad hair and bad T-shirts!
