FoafNews

Dan Brickley is experimenting with news and FOAF which look suspiciously like a full RDF version of RSS:

A FoafNews document is just a Web page written in RDF/XML format that uses the FOAF vocabulary along with RSS 1.0, Dublin Core, Wordnet and other Semantic Web vocabularies (eg. MusicBrainz, RDF Calendar, RDF GeoInfo) to describe news items and the things those items are about.

I think it’s a good route to take, but I’m dubious about the overloading of the FOAF name. Isn’t it just RDF news?
