GEL

Via GeekNews comes GEL a new initiative to create a 3d visualisation environment for the Internet. It's a new system, not derived from VRML or any other existing 3D web technology. The core graphics API is called QDraw and is available for Win98/NT, Linux, FreeBSD, and the Playstation 2. That last one made me sit up and take notice, because that's where the next wave of Internet users is going to come from. Sony have got to make the most of this opportunity if they are to make any real mark on the Internet. What do you think?
